- Necessary spare parts aren’t in stock, because they generally aren’t stored or the stock levels aren’t checked
- Spare parts are only occasionally available from previous projects
- The condition and operational capability, not to mention the fastest possible availability of spare parts, are not guaranteed
- High risk of longer downtimes due to long spare parts delivery times
